Strengths and Weaknesses

1st Paper-
Strengths
1. In text citations were done correctly
2. Easy to read and follow along
3. Had evidence to back up statements
Weaknesses
1. paragraphs were very long
2. A ton of information that could have been separated
3. Shouldn't start with a quote
2nd Paper-
Strengths
1. I like how it starts out with informing you about the different types of writing
2. The next paragraph is about what the person he interviewed said
3. Then does a great job saying why its academic and non academic
Weaknesses
1. Could of used a little more information to bulk up the paper
2. I think the word choice in some parts could have been better
3. Didn't use in text citations
3rd Paper-
Strengths
1. They used what a creative writer means to them and other people to start the paper its a good hook
2. Clearly separates who the type of writing refers and the structure they write in (ect)
3. Good in text citations
Weaknesses
1. It doesn't have a sentence to connects the first paragraph to the second one, talking about the academic writing
2. The conclusions doesn't sum up the paper
3. transition sentences
4th Paper-
Strengths
1. They said what most people think of when they hear of that field of study
2. Good reference page
3. Has evidence to back up what he is saying

1. Work on in text citations
2. Grammer
3. Punctuation
5th Paper-
Strengths
1. Different types of writing
2. Good conclusion
3. Headings
Weaknesses
1. Transition sentences
2. Need to capitalize on in text citations
3. technical terms that the common person would not know
6th Paper- 
Strengths
1. Starting with a quote that grabs attention of the reader
2. Headings
3. Gives good examples
Weaknesses
1. Images that the reader wouldn't know what it is
2. Better conclusion that ties the paper together and hits the man points of it
3. Interview someone from that field

the topic that I am picking is allowing people under the age of 21 to be in bars after 10 without getting in trouble. By doing that it will limit the amount of tickets that are given. Speech 2 Outline

Problem: College students under the age of the 18 are legally allowed to be in the bars until 10 but not allowed to be drink but most do and or have a fake ID. Cops go into bars and they get in trouble. Underage drinking is a problem in college towns wether it be in the bars or in the dorms. Almost every country has the drinking age of 18 besides the United states. We are allowed to fight and die for our country at the age of 18 which is more serious then drinking. Solution: Change the legal drinking age in college towns to 18. I think we should change that 18 and older can be in the bar legally at anytime and allowed to obtain alcohol. This will reduce the amount of tickets and people that are getting in trouble. Most people in the bars are under the age of 21 and or using a fake ID. Justification: It will reduce the amount of people getting in trouble and we can do other things at the age of 18 that are more serious then drinking and most people drink before the age of 21. This article always has some research to back up there information. Half of the article is academic and the other half is non-academic. It is written from the perspective of someone that knows about engineering.
