Topic Proposal

The topic I have chosen to do is, how important is college education. I think adults that are 60 years of age or older don't think that a college education is as important because it wasn't something that was possible for them to do unless they were wealthy and could afford it. I think that people that are in there 40-50 they went to college if they could afford it and more people started to go but they could still get good paying jobs without a college degree. People that are at the age of 18 in high school that going to college is important because they were raised being told that they will go to college because parents can either afford it or financial aid is something that a lot of students are able to get.

How important do you believe a college education is?

How many of your family members earned a college degree?

I plan to do a interview and a survey. I would post the survey on a social media so many people will see it.

I plan on making a google forms and sending it out to people and making it public on my facebook so that anyone can take it.

Comments

  1. Is the topic narrow enough a) to collect data within a few days and b) to maintain a clear focus?
-I think the topic is pretty narrow and it has a fairly clear focus.
Are research questions specific? Are they open-ended? Open-ended questions are often better than yes/no questions.
-On your first question, I would think about adding a "for what" at the end.
Is the research method(s) chosen appropriate for the research question(s)?
-The research methods chosen are appropriate for the research questions and topic.
